The extension will soon be made available on Firefox as well. The extension was built by Postinghel for himself until Giulio Michelon who is labelled as the “hunter”, (possibly for finding the design) on the plugin’s website suggested the product designer that he make the plugin available to the public, according to the comments on his website. On the developer’s website, the description of the plugin reads, 'This extension restores the old icon on Meet, Calendar, and Gmail to make tabs more recognisable. The Chrome extension “Restore old Google icons” can be added to Chrome and gets the old google icons back.
